Royal James Publishing is proud to announce the signing of author Toni Owen-Blue and her middle grade realistic fiction novel titled Iris to our publishing family.
About Toni Owen-Blue:
I’ve moved around England so much that I sound like a member of the Bad Voice Actors Union. But finally stopping in one place I’ve taken up writing both books (Middle Grade and Fantasy) and video games (Interactive Fantasy and Romance) full time, which I love.
I spread my enthusiasm by visiting schools and giving workshops on Creative Writing (so any school teachers in England please do contact me). I also keep a blog for writing tips, recommendations for good books and warnings for bad ones.
When I’m not working I go on couples’ holidays with friends, make clothes for my vertically compensating self or run from zombies with my dog.To learn more about Toni, visit her at her website blue-books.org.uk.
“I flinch. I know she’s not going to hit me, we’ve got in arguments a hundred times before and she’s raised her hand – she’s never hit me in the face. But I flinch anyway.”
I put that because whenever you pick up a book at the shop there’s always a quote on the back, and because I’m trying to put off writing this blurb. I don’t know what to put.
This is just a book about me, Iris, and the things that I do, the friends I make, well, try to make, and everything else that happens to me – good, bad and, uh, very bad.
That sounds really boring but I promise, it’s much more extraordinary. I might seem normal (well, not normal, a bit weird really) little Iris, but there’s so much more to it than that, more than most people can understand.
Make sure to follow Toni's Facebook Page so you can keep up to date on Iris news.
